教学对象：这课主要为七至十岁儿童开设，无国画基础或已在此班学过一两年的学生。
使用材料：毛笔 颜料：
自备毛笔：羊毫（ 大 中 小 三支）； 狼毫或 兼毫（大 中 小 三支）。不同毛笔的习性（软 硬 吸水能力）大有不同，多预备几种（几支）为好。
自备颜料：国画颜料（12色或18色一盒）。
自备笔洗：用来盛水洗笔的小盒子（縮胶盒子为好）。
课堂备品：宣纸 墨还有练习纸。收费：每学期收费 : $10/人 (for new Student) $5/人 (for returning)，用来购买 纸 墨 练习纸（如有余款下学期不再收）
本课目的： 帮助学生掌握进 入大班学国画所需基础知识和技艺。
教课内容： 主要是国画基础知识。毛笔的持笔和运用 (中锋 侧锋 藏锋，等等）; 墨色的变化和浓淡干湿的关系（焦 浓 重 淡 清五色）; 颜色相调配的结果和使用（如：藤黄 + 花青 = 绿，诸如此类）。
国画练习： 以小写意为主（以表情感 意趣 创意为主）。 在内容上花鸟画为主。为提高学生学国画的兴趣，配合季节选择一些看得见摸得着并适合儿童的题材（如： 松 竹 梅 葡萄 枫叶 小鸡 小鸟小蜜蜂 等）。 做到每选一个题材都要为教授一种技艺为目的（为掌握藏锋落笔 中锋行笔 和提笔的技巧，学画竹叶·····）。逐步提高学生们学国画的兴趣和欣赏能力。
老师自律：课前：用心预备所教内容；课上：一笔一划耐心示范讲解。根据学生的领受能力及不同学生的需要，随时调整自己的教学方式方法；课后：将学生的习作带回家做分析并批改（加页批改，尽量不在学生的习作上动笔）。为的是能在下节课上针对每个学生的问题给予指导和帮助。
